Vegetable Crudites with Dips

Smokey Babaganoush

NOTE: Eggplants are from the Nightshade family and can therefore be inflammatory. Know your body.
Olive Tapenade (Kalamata Olive Paste)
3 cloves of garlic peel and finely chopped
1 cup pitted kalamata olives
3 Tbsp chopped parsley leaves (reserve stalks for Alkagizer)
2 Tbsp capers
2Tbsp lemon juice
2 Tbsp extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)
Ground Celtic Sea or Pink Himalayan rock salt and black pepper
Smoked Ocean Trout or Salmon Dip
100g Hot smoked Ocean Trout or Salmon.
3 Tbsp Natural Coconut youghurt
1Tbsp each of finely chopped chives and/or dill.
Zest of 1 lemon, plu 1Tbsp juice
1 Tbsp Capers
Ground Celtic sea or pink Himalayan rock salt and black pepper
Flake the smoke trout or salmon and mix through all other ingredients.
When looking for a good hot smoked Trout or Salmon, read the ingredients carefully as most contain sugar or one of its derivatives..
Duck or Chicken Liver Pate
Most pate recipes use butter, but there are a few around that use coconut oil or ghee instead. I found this one by Helen Padarin which you might like to try, just leave out the honey and replace ghee with coconut oil.
